I tend to scour second hand shops any where I go. Salvation Army, St. Vinnie's, in England Oxfam + others. I try to hit authentic antique shops, not the faketique ones designed for home decorators. These have been the source for several cool treasures from signed books to the new photos at the left. Each of these pictures meant something to someone at the time they were taken. They were shared, passed down through families, loved ones and then discarded. I hate to think about it but most if not all of the subjects are no longer with us. As a student of design I snag them from puzzled shop keepers. The more unique ones are here. I cannot even imagine what the story behind the guy with the stuffed crocodiles/alligators was.
